Added some blood particles when hitting enemies, and when you hit them, they flash a random bright colour instead of just white to make it a little more “club” themed :)
But this is just a small part of what I’ve been doing for the past week, there has been a lot of bug fixes, a lot more sounds added to the game and a bunch of other things, so this project is finally moving at a proper speed :)

Finally fixed the end screen, plus I added the global HP (gold hearts) functionality, which will restart your progress when you loose all of them (the rogue-lite mechanic), but you will still keep the relic upgrades and power gems from bosses and stuff like that - hence… rogue-lite :D

This is probably the last animation for the first boss, he will be in a dizzy state after the rolling attack, so you can attack him freely for a couple of seconds.

The first 10 relics are ready, I’ve increased the sprite size of them from 16x16 to 24x24 and I enjoy working on them much more now because I have more space to add some details.
But this is just the beginning, lots more to come!...

Long time no see, sorry for the lack of updates, but January was a bit slow, then I got sick and everything just kinda got stuck… but I am back!

Anyway, as I said before, I am working on the first boss and I finally have something to show you. This will be one of his attacks, still needs a bit of tweaking and maybe some sort of staged difficulty, but so far, I like it :)

PS: The gif is extremely low quality, so trust me when I say that it does look a bit better :P

Still working on the relic system, but I’ve come a long way. Pretty much everything works now, just a couple of things remain to be completed.
